1 Agreement to these terms
The Keep/Lose app and the website at keep-lose.shopping (the “Service”) are operated by [Legal entity name] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
2 Who can use Keep/Lose
You must be at least [16] years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you can form a binding agreement with us.
3 Your account
- You sign in with your email address and a one-time code — there is no password to remember or leak.
- Give us an accurate email address and keep access to it secure; you are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
- Tell us promptly at support@keep-lose.shopping if you suspect unauthorised use.
4 What the Service does
Keep/Lose lets you post a photo of an outfit and receive an anonymous crowd verdict — Keep or Lose — within 24 hours. Voters see one item at a time and rate it without knowing who posted it. It is a source of opinions for fun and confidence, not professional or purchasing advice.
5 Content & the rules
You’re responsible for what you post. By posting, you confirm you have the right to share the image. You agree not to post:
- Photos of anyone who hasn’t agreed to appear, or any image you don’t have the rights to.
- Nudity, sexually explicit content, or content sexualising minors.
- Personal or identifying information — yours or anyone else’s — that breaks the anonymity of the Service.
- Hateful, harassing, violent, or illegal content, or anything that infringes others’ rights.
- Spam, scams, malware, or attempts to game votes or manipulate the crowd.
Keep it to outfits and clothing — that’s what the crowd is here to judge.
6 The license you give us
You keep ownership of your photos. To run the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your posted photo to anonymous voters for the duration of its voting window (up to 24 hours). This license ends when the photo is deleted from our servers. We don’t use your photos for advertising or sell them.
7 Voting fairly
- Vote honestly. Don’t use multiple accounts, bots, or automated tools to influence results.
- Don’t try to identify posters or coordinate votes on a specific item.
- We may discard votes we believe are fraudulent and take action on the accounts behind them.
8 Points
You may earn points for taking part. Points are a virtual, in-app feature with no monetary value; they can’t be exchanged for cash and may be adjusted, expired, or changed as the Service evolves. Points obtained through abuse or manipulation may be removed.
9 Moderation & enforcement
To keep Keep/Lose safe, we may — with or without notice — remove content, limit the reach of an account, block or suspend accounts, or refuse service, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken or that action is needed to protect users.
10 24-hour deletion & your copies
Posted photos are permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours. We cannot recover a photo after it’s deleted. Keep your own copy of anything you want to hold on to.
The Service is designed so your posted photos don’t linger online. Deleting an item early removes its photo and votes immediately.
11 Our intellectual property
The Keep/Lose name, logo, app, and website are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t give you the right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service normally.
12 Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Verdicts are the aggregated opinions of anonymous strangers — they are not advice, and we don’t guarantee any particular outcome, availability, or that the Service will be error-free.
13 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and expenses arising out of content you post or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
15 Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing support@keep-lose.shopping. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
16 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing jurisdiction, e.g. England & Wales], and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive authority over any dispute, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
17 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
